It has to be moved soon, and we are really jazzed about getting the word out in the Modern community so they will know that it can be moved to their waterfront properties all around the Puget Sound. Paul Thiry, of course, was the chief architect for the 1962 World's Fair, and this house was built in 1962 -- near to the same time he had built the Colosseum and other great works in the Seattle Center. This true Mid-Century Modern home is a collector's piece by any standard. Designed and built by Paul Thiry in 1962, it represents the height of Seattle's introduction to a new style of world architecture: "Principal architect of the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair, Paul Thiry introduced European modernism to the Pacific Northwest." This five-bedroom house is built with a groundbreaking open-plan style. The home was well-documented in the April 1967 edition of "Sunset" magazine, where they talk about the wonderful feeling that this house on the beach has! Contact us quickly about this treasure of a house to arrange for a tour -- serious buyers please! The Paul Thiry in North Beach is not going to be torn down as far as we know but it needs someone to add their special TLC to restore it fully. Also I was contacted by an architect this week who needs help selling an amazing loft in the "Talisman" condo in a great neighborhood of Capitol Hill, priced in the $200's ![]() BUY OR SELL YOUR MODERN PROPERTY HERE THROUGH US!!
