New plan taking effect now, please read:
I am
competition for some listing agents so can't always get permission, like I
normally do, to place some of those hot new modern listings on MY site,
therefore I'm going to wait for YOU, my viewers, to send me your email
address, and then, usually every TUESDAY and/or FRIDAY, I'll email you a link to ALL
the newest modern listings available (then I don't have to ask for
permission, I can just DO IT and I will still being within MLS (NWMLS
)
guidelines
and procedures). Some listings you receive may not be in your
exact area or price but at least someone (me) has weeded out all the
schlock so you won't be slogging through the generic
pseudo-neo-traditional-bungalow uninspired architecturally uninteresting
homes out there which in my mind accounts for the vast majority of them,
as you know in your searching.
These fun to look modernist wonders are out there, but like needles in the proverbial haystack, I have to work to find them and I look forward to emailing them to you. Seattle Modern has moved to new offices in the all glass NBBJ designed skyscraper downtown, 50 stories, completed in 1969, very Miesian minimalist, very Seagram building. It's the one across from the new Library, the one with the Henry Moore sculpture in front of it, and the almost destroyed Guy Anderson mural covered over in the lobby!!
I love seeking out, discovering, and documenting these rare properties, some deserving of future "historical" or landmark status; (even though they are "modern"). Please note that most of the listings I've found and documented here may not necessarily be "my" listings, therefore it is imperative you contact me directly to be your buyer's agent. I do of course also LIST modern homes, and prefer to list modern homes as opposed to traditional style homes, I have turned down listing a number of "old world charm" bungalows in the last year.
